It seems long lost relatives of LeAnn Rimes and husband Deane Sheremet are coming out of the woodwork to comment on the state of the couple’s relationship.
According to US magazine, who first broke the story that LeAnn is cheating on Deane with her Northern Lights co-star Eddie Cibrian earlier this week, a woman identifying herself as Deane’s “cousin Pebbles” called into a radio station and dished on the couple.
“Pebbles” said that Deane doesn’t really care about LeAnn’s supposed affair because he’s gay, and has been “since he was probably five.” LeAnn’s rep was quick to come to the couple’s defense, saying:
“Although Deane and LeAnn never knew they had a cousin named Pebbles, they are glad to hear that she has come out of the woodwork,” he says. “Deane and LeAnn are also interested in connecting with their other long lost family members: Fred, Wilma, Barney and Bamm-Bamm. So Pebbles, please let us know if you have spoken to them, too.”
Since the story broke this week of LeAnn’s supposed affair with Cibrian, a lot of fans have also come to her defense, saying it’s impossible to determine who the couple actually are since you can’t see their faces. US Magazine’s only response to the questioning (and on Twitter, no less) is that they know who the couple are because they’ve seen a copy of Cibrian’s signed receipt for the restaurant and have talked to a few mysterious “eyewitnesses.”
