Leo DiCaprio Admires Zac Efron

Leonardo DiCaprio mentioned in an interview recently that he’s more than happy to pass on the status “teen idol” to Zac, and that’s really not what he was into it for in the first place:

“I look at young Zac Efron and think ‘Go get it pal, leave me in peace.’

I was never happy with the teen idol tag at all – never wanted to be a sex symbol or all that stuff – it was the work that appealed to me. Really nothing else. (I have) total respect for how young stars like Zac handle it all. Really total respect.”

I’m not sure what exactly prompted it, except for Zac mentioning that he admires Leo in the recent past. Leo’s well into his 30s now and by no means a “teen idol” anymore, I wonder if he still seems himself that way?
