The writers are really pleased with themselves over Damian's part: He'll play an Irish exchange student who's staying with Brittany's (Heather Morris) family. Because of his heritage, she logically assumes that he's a leprechaun with magical powers. (What about a pot of gold?)
One of the runner-ups, Lindsay Pearce, will appear in at least one episode as a competitor for Rachel (Lea Michele). They've actually already shot the episode where Lindsay's singing group competes against New Directions; since they shot it before the Glee Project finale aired, Ryan joked that they had to "cloak her under a blanket" to make sure her appearance didn't get out to the press. Considering how much viewers like the diva-off, Lindsay might get written into another episode.
Sam won't appear in the season until episode 10 or 11, but he'll play Puck's (Mark Salling) relative.
All we know about other runner-up Alex Newell is that he'll "be used sort of like Lindsay." So, maybe Finn gets a singing nemesis? That could be fun, since (if I remember correctly) we never got to see Cory Monteith and Jonathan Groff have their sing-off.
