I heard a rumor that Patricia Arquette picked up a dress for the Golden Globes, so I’m planning to watch. I thought you might like to join the fun. We can talk about how good (or bad) people look and how the entertainment portion of the show works (or flops miserably. Remember the Emmy Awards this year? Not good!)

I didn’t see Patricia, although I thought I may have seen a glimpse of her sis.
I have no idea why they always zero in on all those Entourage folks at each and every awards show – WHY oh WHY do they think I am just dying to see them and hear what they have to say when there is a Patricia Arquette to talk to? I really wish they would make more of an effort to talk to a variety of folks and not the same people I care nothing about.
Personally, I didn’t see any train wrecks of dresses, although I had to do a double take when Renee Zellweger came out on stage in that black get up – after my eyes trained on it for a bit, It didn’t look as bad as first glance. There was another chick in a red dress that, the dress wasn’t so bad, it just seemed to fit her funny, like the waist was way too high or something.
I thought it was a bit odd they just started the show right off with no intro or anything and J Lo was a bit pissed they messed up the teleprompter or clip or whatever they were supposed to show. Cameras didn’t do a very good job of showing the entire audience – I watch to see all the stars, not just the winners or the Brad and Angelinas.
Speaking of Medium, I only caught 1 commercial for it during the 3 hour telecast of the GG and it was in the last hour. Anyone else catch one I missed?

NBC’s coverage was pretty limited, but even E tended to focus on a few big names instead of doing broad coverage and they were on the red carpet for 2 hours! I only saw the Medium commercial once, too and I watched to the very end.
I wonder if Patricia ended up coming after all? I heard that she got a dress, but I didn’t see her, David, or Courtney Cox. For that matter, I didn’t see Adam Sandler…I could go on and on. I saw Brad Pitt, all the Disney stars and the other “hot” people of the moment.
