Britney’s back.
Again.
Bitch.
“Baby One More Time” came out in when I was 13 years old, and I loved everything about it. I bought the single (B-Side is “Autumn Goodbye” which is this amazing cheesetastic Britney song that no one knows about, go listen!) and played it for all my friends. I thought I was so awesome because I was the first one on the bus who knew who she was.
I don’t think I’ve liked Britney as much as I did at that moment. Until now. I haven’t listened to a full length CD of hers since “Oops…I Did it Again”, and I still don’t think I was missing out. But “Femme Fatale” is available to stream online now, and I’m so glad I listened to all of it. It’s pure (and by pure I mean produced so heavily I have no idea how she’ll sing it live), unapologetic dance pop. It actually makes me want to dance, and I hate dancing. Britney’s voice is autotuned into oblivion, but who cares? I don’t know why her first single was “Hold It Against Me”, because almost every song is better. My favorites – “Till the World Ends,” which will be her next single (yay!), and “How I Roll”, which is just fucking weird, and can never be a single, but it’s one of those treasures you only get by listening to a full album. Britney stays away from ballads, which let’s face it, has never been her thing. The closest thing to it is “Trip to Your Heart”, which on first listen was terrible, but now sounds like a song that should be accompanied by an video with animated fairies (like this one), which means I love it.
This is an album you should buy. Embrace your inner 13 year old girl and get it when it comes out next Tuesday. Although Britney says ‘fuck’ now, just to warn you. She’s so saucy.

I couldnt agree more, you can barely hear the voice of the blond bombshell and i personally HATE auto-tune but these songs are infectious and i hate to say it but i LOVE IT!!!
Everyone loves a come back and Britney’s return is one for the ages.
Great review!!!
Auto tune and all, I wll be getting the album on Tuesday.
This album is pure pop perfection. I hate that I love it!
She’s right! I would be ashamed of the jam session I’m currently having in my pajamas but it’s so fun and autotune-y I don’t care. You win this round, Britney.
