One reason why Lindsay is praise worthy is for aesthetics alone. She’s at the very top of this year’s Maxim’s Hot 100. She’s the cherry on top of the sundae ice cream for which we all scream. These magnificent photos are the latest examples that show why in clear black & white. Lindsay is one glorious SHE that makes life to die for.

Is there a certain amount of superficialness to our celebration of Lindsay. Sure. Take it Pretenders:
“I’M VERY SUPERFICIAL
I HATE ANYTHING OFFICIAL.”

But then does beauty also elevate the human spirit? Heavenly hell yes. There are a million smoking hot models out out there. So why do we care so much about Lindsay then? Because there’s obviously a lot more to her. & it shows. Even when she is “only” modeling. She has a wild beauty inside. She is La Belle et La Bête. She is sweet & she is fierce. She is a kitten & a tiger. She’s the best, the most model there is. Because she’s allowed to be than a model. She sells herself. All of her. She’s gorgeous & she’s so alive. She is love & she loves us. So we love her for it, for her. She’s allowed to tap into her free spirit & shower us with her sexy personality. With her in it life is worth living & celebrating. We are devoted to her preciousness.

So did you find what you were looking for Miss Shell? Did you get the pics with which you can rip her apart Lilo’s heart? You use people to sell magazines. You glom off beauty & celebrity. You abuse beauty. You value salebrity. You act like you care but that’s where you are ALL superficial. You put a woman up on a pedestal so you can look up her dress, then you pull the nets away when she slips on crack to watch her fall to her death. It’s the America pastime. Lindsay is the second most hated Hollywood celeb behind Paris Hilton. AKA they score the most death-wishes from the haters. They blame Paris & Lindsay for their own lack of willpower to turn their attention to other things. They cannot ignore so they abhor.

You can’t leave Paris & now Lindsay alone because then no one would touch you. I praise Hilary – I plan on voting for her. Maybe Oprah should run for president. But try getting your groove on to either of them. Try selling magazines with Oprah & Hilary on the cover all the time & let’s see how many copies you sell then.

Even Lindsay Lohan’s got it. Soul. & talent. & daring. & a need to express. Is she a mess? Yes. Is she still figuring out this crazy world & straighten out this thing we call life? You bet.

I’m still betting on her. In my case I love her not only for her looks & charisma, her joi de vivre, but for her music. “Confessions” is the best single that came out last year. The Lindsay Hop didn’t get any serious recognition for her best achievement to date, all because of her larger than personal life. “Confessions” is one powerful pop ballad, w/easily the single most moving vocal of the year, raw but radiant.

That’s reason enough alone. She directed & acted in the aching, beautiful video. I watch & hear her music calling & I pray she sees & listens to herself. She can sing & dance & clown & bring it on with everything & more till there’s nothing left out on the dance floor but our l.o.v.e. for her.

She can be mean and she can be right. She’s fresh and fresh. She speaks her mind when she’s not sure. She tells the truth even when she lies. She has an energy that can’t be stopped. Or topped. Even when she cools down she still smokes. She drives me wild.

She has a problem. She has an addiction. She’s trying to find a cure. She hurts. & it hurts me, too. A lot. I’m depressed. I’m worried. Am I giving up? Never.

When the whip of hate, make that jealousy, comes down, I defend her, thorny crown & all. She’s been living fast & out loud, in the eye of a storm. She’s a princess, young, still learning, still dreaming. Of bigger & better things. She’s a lover & a fighter. She will not be denied. She’s down but not out. She’s frustrated. She’s infuriating. She’s glorious. She’s uproarious. She’s like no other. She’s Lindsay Lohan.

I’m glad you brought it on today, media hater, because you brought the love out of me. Hollywood can go to hell if they turn their backs on Lilo now. Rock n roll never forgets. Rock n roll always forgives. There are always second acts, second sets in rock n roll. Rock n roll is forever. & so long as she breathes, she lives, she rocks. Move over booze & drugs, let sex & rock n roll take over. It ain’t over till Red Rover rolls right over.

I don’t give a damn ’bout her bad reputation. Nor does rock. Every day’s a new wide awake-up call. I say, whatever makes her happy will make her healthy, & vice versa. You get better, get well Lindsay. We’re with you all the way. I say, you will be better than ever.
