Lindsay Lohan was to be announced for an upcoming major film role in "Dare to Love Me" – but that could now be in jeopardy after her latest DUI charge. No word yet on how that charge also affects "Poor Things".
Right now, e! is reporting that Lindsay Lohan has lost her part in "Poor Things" and someone else will be cast for the role – but they may be wrong on their facts. Also, producers must now scramble to figure out how to promote "I Know Who Killed Me", which comes out this Friday, without Lindsay Lohan. She won’t be able to keep her press engagements anymore.
Here is some info about "Dare to Love Me" – and the tango lessons Lindsay is already taking!
An official announcement is expected this week for Lohan to costar in the new romance Dare to Love Me, sources close to the film confirm. It’s the story of Tango legend Carlos Gardel, who was involved in a steamy romance with a prostitute, only to have his world shattered by a bullet that kills her and leaves him crippled with a fragment in his lung for life.
The movie is set in Buenos Aires in the 1920s and centers on Gardel and the mysterious woman.
No word on Lohan’s exact role in the film, but sources say she began taking tango lessons Friday for an hour a day – all while wearing the alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet she’s had on her leg since emerging from rehab on July 13.

Sources tell E Online that Tuesday’s arrest for driving under the influence and cocaine possession could ultimately cost Lohan a new movie role.
For the time being, producers of Dare to Love Me are publicly sticking with the actress.
"Bowline Entertainment is standing behind Lindsay. Lindsay is insured for the movie as of now," says Michael Sands, a publicist for the production company.
Sands, who described the film as set in the 1930s, says that Lohan had been scheduled to fly to Romania to shoot for about three weeks. The actress had been taking tango lessons in advance of the film and an official announcement about her casting was expected later this week.
However, behind the scenes the situation is unsettled.
"The talk this morning is that Lindsay will never hold on to her role in Dare to Love Me," says a source close to the production. "It was a risk to sign her in the first place. But everyone hoped rehab would really get her on the right path again and focused on her career. Looks like that wasn’t the case."…
As for future movie projects for Lindsay, "that’s going to be real difficult," says a casting specialist. "She will have to basically be willing to pay for her own insurance and the set of any movie. And that’s if movie execs want to deal with that hassle. And if they do, it will cost Lindsay a lot of money. That stuff is not cheap. It would be a big chunk of whatever paycheck she would be earning from a set."
Lohan had been due on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno later Tuesday to tout her next film, I Know Who Killed Me, but that appearance was scuttled in the wake of her arrest. With the horror film set for a Friday release, producers must scramble to figure out how to market a movie without support from its star.

everytime i see that haunting mugshot in my travels around the net and the printed media,i have to look back at these fantastic pics of the beautiful miss Lohan and give her my best wishes and positivity for the future. it is possilble to rise like the phoenix from the ashes of self-destruction,but it requires a lot of hard work and dedication,not to mention a certain amount of luck and continued sobriety.trust me,i know this,so i am sending out my best vibes and a sincere desire to see the incomparable miss Lindsay Lohan back on top of her game.i have seen countless movies in my years as a movie nut,and i can truthfully say that miss Lohan is the only actress that has captivated me,since Meryl Streep in the 80s and the old hollywood greats of the 1930-1970s.Lindsay has this aura and screen presence that is compelling,and a hugely expressive face,and those eyes….need i say more?! her characters are always alive and larger than life,and an extension of her own persona,and i always find myself drawn to that character,even in the middle of action and plot.Lindsay acts with her eyes,in the tradition of the old hollywood sirens,and at times,her eyes are mesmerizing in low-light and in emotional scenes.i love all of her movies and characters,but i have a special affection for Rachel in Georgia Rule.i can’t wait for it to be released on dvd,as the deleted scenes are included,which should have been left in the theatrical release.my only issue with the movie was that i thought there should have been a few more scenes with the conflict between the rebellious hellion,Rachel,and the strict,set in her ways grandmother,Georgia.but,all in all,a great movie and a great performance by miss Lindsay.in closing,i still ‘dare to love’ this beautiful and highly talented movie star,and wish her all the best in life and career,and a lot of luck in dealing with her legal issues.love always,a huge fan and friend.peace

i saw another batch of these tango lesson pics and there is a picture in them that really stands out.Lindsay is holding hands with the dance instructor in a part of the tango spin,her hair pulled back,and looking down at the instructors feet with a HUGE grin on her face.while i am not the biggest fan of her blonde hair,it definitely looks great in these pics. i am so saddened that she appeared so radiant and happy,her next movie in the works,and then all of that progress sidelined by a night of unexplainable madness.i do know what addiction will do to your life,and i wish i could do or say something that would have a profound effect on her,but shes got to want to get clean,to get back on track.i wish her the best of luck in battling the demons,and dealing with her many legal issues.in closing,she looks great in these pics and these are how i will picture her for a while.even though i wish for her continued privacy and low profile,wherever she is,i just wish we knew something,some reassurance that she is in good hands,getting the serious help she so desperately needs.love always,a huge fan.peace

look, im not a fan of lindsay lohan. and in the movie “dare to love me” ..i mean, the movie is about gardel right? well, in the movie it most be somebody who lives in argentina or somebody who knows something about their culture, i mean, lindsay lohan doesn’t know anything about argentina, gardel, or argentina’s culture. i think that i’m right. beside, if you had all the money in the world, why did you get high? and now you’re gettin rehab, but is that enough? are you going to stop gettin high? i hope so, because she is a beautifull girl and she has talent. but it’s clear that i’m not a fan of her. i just think that she’s very good at actin.

shes such a pretty little thing…i cant help but feel sympathetic for her, i mean she has all the money she could ever want, the jobs most actresses would kill for but yet it just shows ya that none of that is really important. She needs somebody to give her a big hug and tell her everything will be ok. She needs love and support from her family. Even better she needs time out of hollywood…move back to new york and get away from the fake people who just wana tag along for the fame. Find her true self.
I suppose if she goes to jail (which i hope she wont!) she’ll have time to reflect on her life and the people in it. Anyway drew barrymore, for example had troubles like this when she was younger and look at her now. If it takes lindsay to hit rock bottom to make her realise what a precious life shes got then so be it, i know she can pull through this sh*t and become a better person for it.
I think “Dare to love me” movie will be best Lindsay’s role! I hope she won’t lost that role!

tres chic…i am still a huge fan,it’s just that she looked so happy and alive in a lot of recent pics,especially these ones,and i am a bit in shock and at a loss for words.addiction can be quite brutal and cause you to do insane things,and i do know this.i hope that wherever she is,she is getting some serious help,and while i am not a religious person,i do pray for her recovery as i myself have struggled with addiction all of my adult years.please get well,miss Lindsay.peace
