Photos from Lindsay Lohan’s scandalously sexy spread in the fashion art magazine Muse were released on Monday.
Lindsay is attempting to channel British supermodel Kate Moss, photographed by Yu Tsai.
The shoot was inspired by the Johnny Depp and Kate Moss romance in the early 1990s, according to Just Jared. Click here to see the photos.
Model Petey Wright played the role of Depp, while Madonna backup dancer Sofia Boutella played the other woman in the pseudo ménage à trois. Lindsay drags on a cigarette in most of the very scantily-clad photos.
“I was always fascinated by Johnny Depp and Kate Moss, and when I asked Lindsay to do a shoot, she jumped at the chance. It was all about her being sexy, channeling Kate from the ’90s,” Tsai told Page Six.
A YouTube video will be released Tuesday and the magazine will be available later this week.
Personally, I don’t see this shoot as artistic (but I know everyone sees art differently). I don’t even think Lindsay looks sexy at all in this photoshoot. I don’t think this will help Lindsay’s image at all. And she probably will win the “Most Scandalous Star of 2009″ award after this, unfortunately.

These photos deserve an A for effort in attempting to channel sexiness, but unfortunately I think they chose the wrong star. Linds has always been a complete natural in front of the camera, and I used to love her photoshoots, but now I think they come too close to reflecting the scandal and seediness in her life. Even in professional photoshoots she now looks haggard, weary and lifeless, not to mention at times downright slutty.
And it worries me that she knows about her own reputation- and still chooses to pose for these kinds of photos. It kind of gives me the impression that she really is craving any attention whether good or bad, and doesn’t care about her own image anymore. I wish that she could get her life back on track but I think (THINK, not know) that she’s fallen into a hole so deep that she can’t get out anymore.

When I saw the photos I thought they were pretty raunchy and distasteful…I also thought Lindsay looked very unhappy and uncomfortable in her facial expressions. Defiitly reinforces everyones wild ideas about her and drugs. Makes me sad, she could do better. Probably just thought it’d turn out really cutting edge and provocative. Just looks like a whole bunch of drugs in a hotel room to me :/

I think Lindsay is a poor choice to portray Kate Moss. Even at her thinnest, she was more curvacious than Kate. And who is this third woman? They don’t explain that part of the story.

Okay, tell me now- why u don’t like the pics, what’s wrong with u people!? I think that she looks completely different, the pics are provocative-so what?! Every stupid gossip site wanted her SEXY – well, now she IS!! Leave her alone,she is doing great and i support her UNCONDITIONALLY!!! I also like the pics…. and there’s nothing to do with drugs- stop saying this,guys. Lindsay’s a wonderful person… show some respect to such a talented woman. That’s my opinion. :)

alright,people,calm down a second,and let me give you a little context for this shoot. i have been a LL fan since 2003,and have read all her interviews. in a fashion mag in 2005,she was asked about her taste/preference in men,and she said she liked them ‘dirty’,specifically saying Johnny Depp as an example. Lindsay has hung out with Kate Moss a few times over the years,and has always used Moss as a fashion idol in her interviews. Lindsay has channelled everyone from Ann Marget to Liz Taylor,and if you look at the 1990s shoot with Depp/Moss,there are some pretty good comparisons in some of the shots. the only shot i don’t like is the cover pic,i think the editor dropped the ball on that one. i changed some of the color pics to black and white,and they look even better. to me,LL has some of that Madonnaesque shock value appeal to her,the mark of any good entertainer,the ability to bring a whole lot of different looks to the table,not some fashion robot like Scarjo,who looks EXACTLY THE SAME in every shoot,pic,or movie,boring. anyway,i like this shoot,just think they should have chose a better cover. i don’t know why everyone is so bent out of shape over the nudity. Lindsay is a very sexual persona,and has used nudity before,and will again. after all,it’s showbusiness,and sex is everything in this repressed,puritanical society that is America. our society dictates in every way,’if you got it,flaunt it!’ and quite obviously,LL is comfortable and aware in front of the lens,no matter what word vomit spews from the pieholes of the haters and trashmedia. whew,end of rant/

When I first time saw this photoshoot I was shocked really shocked! The pictures seems to be very: Hot, rough, dirty, sexy and somehow scary but I can’t say that was bad! No way! Actually it was really good piece of art. Yes this pictures are very controversial but they are very artistic either. It’s a highest level of art. You never see photos like this in popular magazines. Lindsay did a fantastic job! She’s probably the most photogenic actress in the world. However for many people Lindsays reputation is very bad and this photoshot only make it worst. I’m still confused because in one way it’s very good and maybe even legendary (for the next generation) photoshoot but in the other way this pictures are to rough and extreme for Lindsay.
So Lindsay thank you for ”Muse” photoshoot it was really good piece of art but please don’t do it again cuz it’s breaks my heart and makes me feel sad.
It’s hard to describe but I like this photoshoot as much as I hate this photoshoot!!!!

i think the photos where ok i just dident like the cover shot i think that was too much also i think this was the wrong time to do this photo shoot like i said the photos are ok but of course with all the drama happening in lindsays life people will react to it in a negative way i think she should have waited till all the drama had died down but i know she will get back on top very soon and show all the haters :)

the appeal lindzio has for me is her multi faceted persona and range,this is
usually the sign of a real person with a real personality,real people can put
on different hats according to different situations,although Society teaches us
to accept and admire a mechanized canned or scripted image,which usually
portrays morality or innocence,reality is diverse and Lindsay simply adapts to
this reality,Lindsay can be as gentle and as innocent as a kitten or as
sinister as a she devil,the scandalous photos when she was party’n with knives
a few years ago left me rolling on the floor laughing while everybody else
was gasping,i know who this chick really is,so i don’t freak out about stuff

hey t wolf,agree with your comment all the way,and i still get a kick out of those knife pics with vanessa m,i think they were channelling some of those 70s bondage b movies,love those pics!!! i love that LL has all these different looks and sides to her,no boring robot here. i look at all these hollywood ‘talents’ today,and boy,are they are one-dimensional,boring robots that elicit neither empathy nor sympathy in their movie roles/characters,and i see no soul in their music or photoshoots. people say i’m putting all my eggs in one basket by being such a huge fan of Lindsay and having no room for anyone else,but they’re not seeing what i have seen in the past,and still see today,a hugely talented,one woman entertainment machine that will make a big comeback!!! to be quite honest,LL is the only public personality that has ever got this kind of response from me,out of all the politicians,athletes,actors,singers,writers,tv people,and pretty much everyone in the public eye,yeah that’s right,i said it,’Lindsay rules!!!’ now,that being said,i want her to get back in the game,take some movie roles,any roles just to get back on the short list,finish that third album,get some fashion covers,AND KEEP HER LOVE LIFE PRIVATE,please. oh yeah,i want to see her dancing in a music video,or videos,or even in a movie,as i still love watching her dance on the roof in the ‘rumors’ video. love ya,LL:)
