Actually I have always felt that semantically, this was a poor choice of film to advance her career, so for her to back out of it, for various reasons, was a WISE decision on Her part, a Role, isn’t just always a ” Role ” if you get my meaning, and some roles are bad for a persons career, even if the film is a hit. The association of an actor or actress with some derogatory roles, could negatively impact their careers, just because of the subject matter of the film, or the character played. In this case a ” Patty Hearst ” effect could have been a back lash on Lindsay’s career itself, so I am not at all unhappy that She dropped this role, besides the Girl in question was to my knowledge very insane, unsane, and intimate with the murderer, so maybe the film would have had total exposure bedroom scenes in it that would have been contracturally obligating to lindsay once filming began, and could have seriously scuttled her career. As we haven’t seen the film script itself, we don’t know how graphic it might have been, Only Lindsay and a few other people actually have seen the whole script. I personally don’t like the whole subject matter of a movie about that murderer, I did not see ” Helter Skelter ” nor will I see it. I Lived through that time, and set of events, and I have no wish to revisit his interactions with society in any way shape or form. It would be better if he died quietly in prison, and his whole episode just faded away never to be heard from again.

LOL and i so agree, lindsay has the best personality..people are so wary of what she’s going to be because they hear all the crap perez and x17 churn out all the time..then when they actually meet her they love her..shes so misunderstood. Thats why shes goiing to turn it round because shes smart. shes beautiful.and she has talent. she is HOLLYWOOD. F**k the haters. and everyone that think shes a joke..lindsays determined to prove you wrong. and i have no doubt that she will.

I love Linds, but you guys have to understand that some actors do not want to work with her because of her past behavior. Insuring her would be difficult because of her stints in rehab.

Like Robert Downey Jr. she’d have to pay for her own insurance and that could get expensive.

The sad part is that Hollyweird “bad boys” such as Downey Jr. do bad and the public is quick to forget and forgive, but the ladies get a raw deal.

No matter how hard Linds is trying to stay on the staight and narrow, people are still spewing hatred. I just don’t get it. She’s young. She’s made her mistakes and dealt with things to the best of her ability.

I personally think that she’s not really looking for a blockbuster, but a challenging indie role that proves that she can act. She wants to prove that she loves her craft and can carry a role effortlessly.

Personally, I think that this is a smart move on Lindsay’s part. I think that she is really focused, and Ugly Betty may have made her realized what is really important. She has acting chops–why settle for roles that may not put her on the map.

Also, I think that she was taking the Mason Girls role is because maybe she tried to line up as much work as she could. Whatever the case maybe, I think she knows that she needs to take roles that she can excel in…and also not overwork herself. In a movie role, she could strive quality not quantity. If that’s the case, she is doing a good job with her current decisions.

thats right liz! I soo belive leslie saloane! our girl is so freaking busy right now, that she actually has to back out of things, my guess is definitley for the things that are more worth it. sorry, I think ugly betty is more worth it! I mean 5 episodes of lindsay on ugly betty coming into americas home! its a chance for people to see her working, doing something good. for free! and for them to maybe change their idea of lindsay. I dont think she has the same pressure she has on tv than when shes doing a film so she might feel a little bit more confident and comfertable with tv at this particular time. I think its good for her. linds could even snag an emmy out of this. ya never no. with these movies, lindsay has to be so careful now. I mean, she is bassically starting a new career. and shes probably a little afraid. she wants to put some good work out here for people to enjoy. she does not wan’t to put out another flop like IkWHM, even thou it was a great movie. she is trying to make sure she makes good decisions. lindsay can’t just take everything. it has got to be something good thats gonna benefit her career in the future. these movies might not have been good for it. but now Im wondering since shes out of that jack black film, could her hair be red again in the near future? man, Im like praying for that so bad!
