According to her mom and sister (we saw part of the video here), Lindsay Lohan is not a lesbian. Dina & Ali Lohan told the press that Samantha is an amazing girl, but that she and Lindsay are best friends, and what people say to the contrary is just "pathetic". Dina adds:
“It’s so silly. We actually laugh about it now. It really does hurt… but you develop a thick skin. You have to ignore it.”
I do agree that it was way overblown, and always was. A hickey on Samantha’s neck does not make Lindsay a lesbian. Not that there’s anything wrong if she were, but it was a wild jump of logic. That said, 67% of you voted in the poll as thinking that Lindsay & Samantha have been dating for a while. What made you think that? Do you still believe it?

LL I love you! and no, i’m not a lesbian!
i voted for the second choice – that maybe she did it for fun. i guess we (the fans) were all blinded. i mean, it’s Paris the most romantic place in the universe and she went with her BFF samantha ronson. I don’t know, maybe it’s because we know that LL has a wild side and her love life is just so intriguing.
But I’m so glad that LL ain’t lesbo.
And to opie, I AM SO GLAD she’s in the top 10. I mean, Drew barrymore who was number 1 in people’s list last year was totally outed off of the list. At least LL kept it top. That’s high enough for me. You can’t be number 1 in two years in a row. But she’s my number 1 LL.

First thing’s first: boots!
Now, with that out of the way. Personally, I’ve been taking the stance of simply not being surprised should that ever come out. I think two factors add to the credibility of the lesbian thing.
First is there are a lot, and I mean a LOT of rumors to that effect. It seems like on any given slow news day, there is either a news story of some quasi-celebrity using the N-word or another rumor about Lindsay possibly being gay. It’s one of those deals where if you hear something enough you start to believe it.
Adding fuel to that fire is Lindsay’s own nature and personality, which is very outgoing and physical with her affection. That is, it looked like two hickeys on Samantha’s neck and I have no problem believing that Lindsay put both of them there. But, that doesn’t mean she’s gay or even bi. I have think that’s just her playful, extroverted nature which is easy to misconstrue.
Incidentally, did anyone else notice Lindsay is in the top ten for the Maxim Hot 100 2008. Not as high as last year, but the past year has been a bummer all around. That she’s maintained a spot on the list, much less in the top ten impresses me.
