Lindsay Lohan briefly steps out of her Utah rehab to go to the supermarket yesterday – I was just about to blur the photo, when I noticed that the peeps in the photo were not other patients, but Lindsay Lohan’s siblings! All three there to support her:

We’ll just keep on keeping on for our gal — I hope she can continue to stay on track — despite the influx of the paps (I was so hoping that Utah would not be as “camera-’friendly’ as LA)
At least she’s not in LA!!! That may be one of the best things going for her. Now if we can just keep LA out of UT.

Dear “concerned parent”,
To the extent that your “concern” is genuine for the safety of your children (or the children of others) or anyone who may (heaven forbid) somehow come into the path of harm’s way due to Lindsay’s (or ANYONE’S) irresponsible behavior — you have my complete agreement.
However you seem not to have caught on that many of the fans in this post fully recognize the transgressions, mistakes, errors in judgment, etc. which MAY — or may NOT — have been made by Lindsay — depending on which ones REALLY happened. We know she is not perfect — and for us, she does not have to be.
Also, we fully realize that there are conditions surrounding her personal life, health and career which require immense support (which has been greatly lacking, given difficulties in her family) and maturity — to which she is only now beginning to attain. How many 21-year old’s do you know who are required to manage business contracts, schedules, work, publicity, incessant media hounding, difficulties of a split family in which there are financial complications as well as emotional ones — while attempting to find meaningful, caring relationships in an environment that can only be described as self-seeking, hostile and predatory?
We support her on the basis of both her genuine talent as an actress as well as out of personal affection for her as PERSON — not as an idol. We feel concern for her as a developing, struggling young woman– not “sorry” for her. We do not idolize, we support. Many of us would gladly tell her when she’s being “dumb” — given the opportunity — because we care. People who care don’t let the people they care about do dumb things. If actual evidence warrants “jail time” — we will not contest it. And we will support Lindsay through it, with the greatest concern that she become fully cognizant of the gravity of her actions, and make the necessary changes to remedy them.
We do, however, stringently contest the presuppositions of guilt, or that there is culpability which has somehow been avoided due to “special favors” — when in fact there has been none.
So if (when) you know FOR A FACT that Lindsay has been “let off the hook” (i.e. not punished for some crime that she ACTUALLY committed) — then I may consider your “complaint”. Until then you are placed — along with SO MANY OTHERS — in the position of conjecture and conspiracy along with those who idolize presuppositions and give them their “undeserved devotion”. There is but one word which adequately describes this position (dave — would you care to give us the … word?)
Do I think she would ” … come to your rescue, you, the undying fan, if you were in trouble?” What an odd question — why would I want to think that? I’m not sure that I would think any celebrity would — necessarily. However, while not visiting their “undying” fans, other celebrities have done that sort of thing for some of their “dying” fans (notably — children with cancer). You know — SHE MIGHT! Lindsay is like that — she probably would, if she knew, and if she could. What makes you think she wouldn’t?
To the extent that anyone idolizes ANYONE — celebrity or otherwise — and gives them “devotion” — undeserved or otherwise — they have my sympathy — and concern. Only God should be worshipped — and that without idolatry in any form.
But to support someone in love — that is not idolatry — it’s simply being His Hands, His Heart, and His Feet in a world He Created and Loves — and that includes Lindsay.
… and that includes you, concerned parent.
Man, all you peeps who adore this girl are very lost. You don’t have the right perspective. Great, she’s in “rehab” and her family is there to support her, it’s what they’re supposed to do. Sad to say she’s another spoiled, selfish and uncaring person who unfortunately has a lot of money because she was lucky enough to get started in movies at a very young age. If my next door neighbor, who is comparable to Lindsay in many ways, was in the same “pickle” as Lindsay, they’d fine her, slap the cuffs on her, throw her in jail and that’s that. But, nooooo, all you can say is: “poor Lindsay, she has it so tough, boo hoo!” That girl needs to learn a lesson. First of all the image she puts out to the younger audience who look up to her is AWFUL! If I was to feel sorry for her, it would’ve been 20 years form now when she made the same mistake after she suffered a major tragedy. But she got caught twice w/in 2 months! C”mon, give me a break. If she’s a true person, who is truly sorry for what she had done, there would’ve never been a second time. What’s it going to take for her to fully realize her potential to cause a catastrophe? Vehicular manslaughter? She’s old enough and “worldly” enough to just say “NO”. We all have the freedom in this great nation of ours to have the right to choices. She’s abusing the system because she’s a celebrity, just like all the other idiots out there in Hollywood World that take advantage of their status because people liked their act at the movies. Tsk, tsk, tsk, shame on all of you for idolizing this girl and giving to her undeserved devotion. You think she would come to your rescue, you, the undying fan, if you were in trouble? She’ll get to pay a fine and do community service. And then she’ll get kudos for the work she did in community service. Shame, what a waste.

Is there a ring in her ringfinger? She looks so good and I’m glad her siblings are there to support her.
I just always used to believe that rehab was not supposed to be an enjoyble experience of leaving the facility to do outside activities. I thought the experince is supposed to be difficult and mentally challenging. Instead of leaving rehab feeling greatful for being released or more informed as an adult on how to make the right choices all these celebrities seem to care about is how their “rehab” stint appeared to the media. Just because you say that you believe white is black does that make it true. In the case of celebrities this is the type of denial that they are displaying. In so very few cases has a celebrity actually stated “I made a mistake” or “I need help”, and in even fewer cases have I heard of a celebrity stating that “I need to suffer the consequnses for my actions.” For someone who has completely pushed the rules a few too many times I feel no sympathy for their desperate not guilty pleas. If you are going to take part in illegal activities, no matter who you are, one should always be aware of the potential consequenses of their actions. In general I am so disapointed in celebrity “role models” unability to take responsibility for their own actions. How can celebrities be so irresponsible for their own actions? The real victims in the situation are not the celebrities, but the poor children who look up to these celebrities.
i do love seeing pictures of Lindsay with her sister and brothers,although i could do without that stalkerazzi vulture in the background.get well,miss Lindsay,and your true fans and friends have your back.we all make mistakes,it’s how you pick up the pieces and move on that matters.love always,a huge fan and friend.peace
