Richard Lohan, Lindsay Lohan’s paternal grandfather (Michael Lohan’s father) has passed away. This sad news comes close on the heels of the feud between Lindsay & Michael went public.
Lindsay Lohan’s grandfather has been in a Long Island hospital with a terminal case of colon cancer for some time. Michael Lohan announced the death of his father via OK Magazine (that should tell you something).
“My father just, literally, died in my arms. I notified all my kids and my lawyer notified Dina’s attorney. Let’s see if she has the decency and respect to bring my kids to the wake and funeral.”
Michael did use the death as an opportunity to bash Dina Lohan for allegedly not visiting Richard in the hospital and saying “THIS” will show Dina’s “true colors.” Michael also spoke with E! about the death and claimed that Lindsay was in contact with him.
“Lindsay did reach out to me. She sent me a message this morning. She said, ‘Now papa has found peace and maybe we can find peace in our lives, too.’ “
Lindsay posted a message to her MySpace again today to say she’s had “no contact with [her] father” (Michael Lohan lied *shock*) and that she hopes “he uses this time to… mourn the loss of his father” rather than talking to the media about her or the people in her life.
“better he just keeps his mouth shut.”
Lindsay also says she’s having fun filming Ugly Betty: “the cast is great, the crew is great, and it’s nice to be at work, doing what i love to do!”
In other family news, Lindsay Lohan’s uncle (on Dina’s side) was sentenced yesterday to a year in federal prison for defrauding the US government of terrorist relief funds.
OMG.!!!..She has so many problems in her family life…And yet she has the power to smile be beyond beautiful and keep acting…This is one of the things that makes Lindsay a unique Star…No matter what is going on in her life she always does her job perfectly…Beocuse she’s the most talented actrees in the world…I’m sorry to hear about your grandfather Lindz…May he rest in peace…We are beside you in spirit Angel…Always with you…peace
Why does Michael Lohan have to continually try and destroy the life of his beautiful, charming and talented daughter Lindsay?
Obviously he does not care about Lindsay or his fathers death one bit, but prefers fame and media attention, it really is sick and childish!
Lots of strength and wisdom to go through this ordeal. Again…my condoleances for your loss.
