Lionel Richie Bonds with Grandson Sparrow

Lionel Richie is so stoked about his second grandchild – Sparrow James Midnight Madden, born on September 9th – that he couldn’t help sing the boy’s praises to US Magazine.

Lionel promised that Sparrow is going to be quite the football player and that Harlow is delighted to be a big sister. Lionel said that Sparrow “does look just like Harlow. I have pictures. It’s the same. All babies kind of look the same with their siblings, but this one is identical.”

Lionel also said that Nicole is doing well and is very happy!

“She is the happiest person I have met in my life,” he said. “Right now, she’s just in total control. I’m the one that’s nervous. I’m Grandpa.”
