Avril is a singer that represents strength and independence for a lot of young girls and fans around the globe. Most people know her hit songs–if they’ve listened to pop rock radio in the last decade. However, there are many things that many people don’t know about the singer. Here’s a bit of Avril Trivia to get you through the mid-week lull.
Abbey Dawn is Avril’s clothing line. Yes, most of us fans know that. Did you know, however, that there’s a store by that name in Tokyo, Japan? Fans in the United States can get the line from Kohl’s, and fans from Avril’s native Canada can get it from Boathouse. However, Tokyo is the only place to date to have a whole store for the merchandise.
While her energetic performances could be seen as a sport in and of itself, Avril is athletic off the stage. She has played hockey since she was very young. According to People magazine, “Avril Lavigne earned ‘Most Valuable Player’ honors two years in a row as the right-wing on a Napanee, Ontario hockey team. She once beat up a goalie and said of the experience, ‘It was awesome!’”
Avril’s songs have appeared in several films. Her cover of the “Spongebob Squarepants” theme can be found on the soundtrack to the film.
