Liz Torres on "Private Practice"

Liz Torres (Miss Patty on Gilmore Girls) joined her Gilmore Girls co-star David Sutcliffe (Christopher) on Private Practice this week.

Liz Torres played a judge in the episode (2.07 ‘Tempting Faith’). She’s the judge presiding over a case where Violet (Amy Brenneman) is testifying in a trial against one of her clients, a pedophile. The judge decides that Violet must continue her therapy with the guy, which Violet is not happy about. Later, Violet has to call the judge back because she fears the pedophile will hurt a child.

Liz doesn’t have a large part, but I love seeing her in such a “commanding” role. See Liz Torres in the video below at about the 3:20 mark:

In this episode, David Sutcliffe’s character Kevin Nelson was shot on duty and had to undergo surgery, which plays a large part in the earlier sections of the video below:

He pulls through surgery ok, with his storyline picking up again at around 2 minutes in this video below. Kevin Nelson struggles here with thinking he’s not good enough for Addison (Kate Walsh):
