David Beckham is set to return to the Los Angeles Galaxy on July 11, in time to suit up for their July 18 match against the New York Red Bull. In an effort to ease the blow of his return – he did, after all, request to stay with AC Milan – David chatted with the Los Angeles Times via phone the other day. They chatted about playing for AC Milan, the rumors that David will return to Real Madrid and what he’s looking forward to when he returns to the Galaxy.
David assures us there is no truth to the Real Madrid rumors. However, nothing has been signed for next season so David’s future remains a bit uncertain.
With his successful stint with AC Milan behind him, David is looking forward to finishing up the MLS season with the Galaxy.
“I’m excited about it,” he said. “I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve been in Milan for six months, and I’ve enjoyed my time immensely. But I’ve always said, and I will always say, that I am still committed to MLS and to the Galaxy, no matter what anyone says.”
