I got on a bit of a “romance” kick after publishing the post about Luke & Lorelai’s first date and the romance of the “all in” line that Luke gave to Lorelai. So dreamy. Luke & Lorelai’s First Dance on “Gilmore Girls”

Sylvia and Pamela love Luke & Lorelai’s first dance, which was at Liz & TJ’s wedding in episode ‘Last Week Fights, This Week Tights.’

Luke & Lorelai Share a Gaze on “Gilmore Girls”

In ‘Jews and Chinese Food,’ Alyce loves the scene when Luke & Lorelai are backstage at the Fiddler on the Roof production and gaze at each other trying not to cry:

As Anne says, this is just an “OMG” moment in ‘So… Good Talk‘. Lorelai and Luke are both sad after the wedding breakup, but Luke comes back to her. And kisses her so passionately!! I couldn’t find this one in a video on its own, but you can speed through to around 2 minutes in this video or just watch the montage of Luke & Lorelai romance!

Luke & Lorelai’s First Date on “Gilmore Girls”

Still a top fave of mine. Luke takes Lorelai to his favorite restaurant in ‘Written in the Stars‘ and shares that he’s kept a memento of meeting her for 8 years. He then tells her that he’s “all in”, when it comes to their relationship.

Although it’s not classically romantic, since they are fighting here a little too, it’s such a climax in Luke & Lorelai’s relationship that I had to include it! The kiss took place in the Season 4 finale, ‘Raincoats and Recipes.’

While talking about kisses, let’s look at their ‘last kiss’ from the Series FInale of Gilmore Girls. So romantic in its own right, yet so bittersweet. It’s included in this finale-clip-montage:

Luke Builds Lorelai an Ice Rink on “Gilmore Girls”

Luke was being a little anti-snow and Lorelai’s love of it was fading. To restore Lorelai’s wonder in it, he builds her an ice rink in episode ‘Women of Questionable Morals‘!
