Recently there was some more Miley Cyrus controversary swirling around and this time it was over a song.
The band Lustra has a song entitled “Scotty Doesn’t Know” and their fans discovered that it sounded eerily similar to Miley Cyrus’ “Rockstar“. After this was pointed out, Disney admitted publicly that Miley doesn’t write her own songs, but only plays the songs that are selected for her.
Well, this Disney statement definitely wasn’t enough for the band, they still want credit for their hard work. So, to rectify this situation, they’ve come up with a plan or two.
The first idea is that they have invited Ms. Cyrus to join them on stage at the Viper Room on May 29th. Lustra will play their song and then Miley will play hers and the fans will decide if the songs indeed do sound the same.
Another solution is that Lustra could appear on Hannah Montana as themselves and Hannah could open for the band in the show. Lustra would appear on stage as Hannah’’s musical influence. Lustra says, “We could share even more of our songs with Ms. Cyrus, just as long as we get credit for it, which is what we have wanted all along.”
Lustra has said that they are well aware that Ms. Cyrus doesn’t write her own songs and realize that she is a victim of corporate behavior, just like them.

OMG, they are really pushing the fact that Rockstar sounds like their song. Just give up you got credit. Now their using her fame to make them look good.
Well disney does owe them something for not giving creditin the first place.
they shouldn’t compare their songs. its making miley loose her career. they’re putting her down and trying to compete with her. Miley is so great and she doesn’t deserve to be in that kind of situation just because they are thinking they have similar songs it doesn’t mean they just want the credits they aso like the fame miley has.
