Remember how Real Housewives of Orange County housewife Lynne Curtin was served with a 3 day notice to vacate her Laguna Beach rental? Well, it appears the Curtins are contesting the eviction, not that it isn’t valid, but that the notice itself is.
The reason: the papers were served to Curtin’s daughter Alexa, who is a minor. The landlord has responded by saying they will just serve the Curtins again, and this time, hand the papers to an adult.

I always thought it was a tad odd that Lynn and Frank drove a Honda Accord, yet were buying a BMW for their juvenile delinquent child. Made me wonder if they borrowed the BMW for filming!

A little birdie told me that Lynne was set up and her landlord is crazy. Maybe TMZ will get the documents when the Curtin’s lawyer contests. Juicy.

As if theses kids aren’t screwed up enough. Way to set an example Lynne, it’s o.k. for them to drink and walk around looking like hoochies, but you sure don’t hesitate playing the “minor” card when somebody hands them a paper.
Do the right thing Mom and Dad Curtain, pay your debts, put some clothes on your kids, lock up the booze then run, don’t walk to the next available parenting classes.

Lynne seems like a sweetheart. I hope things get better for her. Hate to see things like this happen to nice people. At least she was smart to rent and not buy a house over her head like some of the other airhead housewives.

DUH.. What do you mean she ‘was set up’ … by the Landlord? So the landlord is doing this for some publicity or something? *confused*

Right now what I know is a whole lot of speculation that is just weird, so here goes.
1. Landlord is crazy and just wants to be on television?
2. Landlord may be losing her home like everyone else?
3. Landlord still has not removed his/her belongings from the house and Lynne’s daughters can’t sleep in their own rooms.
Sorry #3 sounds fishy. Why move in if the home is not ready? I blame Frank, he’s the man of the house and when you have a wife who doesn’t know about such things as air-conditioning — well you have to take care of the financial contract thingys so she doesn’t have to worry her pretty little head over it.

no.3 does sound fishy… sounds like the landlord might of took advantage of them, and really wanted the house back for themselves (or might not have another house to live in themselves suddenly?)
They might of not had a proper lease, and that might be Frank’s fault, but ofcourse I still think Lynne should still stand by him and they could try get through these problems (if that’s the only problems.)

I don’t know enough about the dynamic of Frank and Lynne’s marriage to comment. Remember how Lynne fell apart emotionally after Jeana made that comment about having a “Lynne moment”? Lynne is going to be an emotional mess if she tries to brave the nasty real world on her own. Heaven help her.

I agree.. it would be very very tough for her.. I just hope they try work things out and stick together.. that’s what I would hope for any marriage (if there is no abuse or anything) then it is probably worth trying to save, if it is just a rough patch.

It’s funny how Lynne has money for an attorney but can’t pay her rent. Her act of being ‘well off’ has been totally exposed. Is this be best that Orange County society has to offer? I only hope that the Bravo cameras were there to get all of the drama or her eviction.

Ooooh, here’s hoping TMZ gets their hands on it. I bet they will since they clearly already know someone who has an in.

I also remember how in the Gretchen/Vicki/Jeana insurance fight, Lynne said G would be okay because she was “beautiful.” While I agree that it was not appropriate for G to ask Jeff to get on the will, I did think that Jeana and Vicki had more experience, having both been through divorces and like them or not, both responsible for maintaining their families. If this is true, I hope she has the support of her mom and real friends to get her through this.
