WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How outrageous. I think Madonna is an example of how women shouldn’t subscribe to the ageism in Hollywood and society at large.

I agree, with the exception of just one thing. In all essence, Madonna is more than just a pop star! The truth is she’s paved the road for young female entertainers. I still remember when the music world thought she was too risque yet doted on her every word (and image which explains the infamous book). She’s broken through numerous glass ceilings in more than just the professional world, her personal life as well.

It’s a shame people can’t look beyond the surface – if only they knew how much Madonna has influenced the world we live in today!

Dexie – Great piece! And I so agree. I saw Madonna at the Traverse City Film Festival a couple weeks ago, and she’s amazingly fit and toned. Her daughter was with her, and she didn’t seem the least bit embarrassed.
