Madonna wants to adopt a baby from India

Not having had enough problems the first time she adopted, what with the bad press and the father suddenly showing up to claim the baby after she had (illegally) spirited him out of the country, Madonna now is rumored to be wanting another adopted kiddo, this time from India.

I’m all for people going adopting kids who need a family. There are literally hundreds of thousands of kids who need a loving mom and dad. However, it seems that the whole process is unfairly biased on the side of folks who can actually AFFORD to adopt. Did you know for example that the average cost of a domestic adoption in the United States is anywhere from $23K to $30K….and up? Ridiculous. I think this unfairly blocks a lot of families who would love to take these kids in and give them a home; adoption is becoming the new rich people’s fad, if you ask me.

I absolutely agree with you, that adopting is a rich people’s fad. I’m really glad that these kids who have been adopted had an opportunity to escape that life and maximize their entire potential to achieve the highest quality of life, but it really isn’t coming across as sincere anymore. It’s like an adopted kid from another country is an accessory.
