Marc Anthony Promotes Children's Fitness

jlostalkerjun_05_sp.jpg

Now that Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez are parents, it’s clear they are trying to do the right thing when it comes to kids. Jen is hosting the Noche de Ninos Benefit, and Marc is trying to bring attention to childhood obesity.

Marc Anthony is out on tour now in connection with ING, and he’s using the concert series to help promote children’s fitness. According to the Earth Times, for “every ticket sold, $2 will be donated to the ING Run for Something Better program, a national initiative that helps fund school-based running and fitness education programs.”

I didn’t know this but Marc said childhood obesity is a huge problem within the Hispanic communtiy especially. He said, “”Through my music, I want to make a difference in the lives of young people across the country. One way is by addressing the critical need to help reduce childhood obesity among Latino children.”

I think it’s great that he’s addressing this topic. I wonder if he had a problem with childhood obesity? Yeah, prolly not.
