Mario Lopez to Host Another Competition Show on MTV

Mario Lopez, host of MTV’s show America’s Best Dance Crew, has landed another reality TV hosting gig. He’ll be hosting MTV’s newest reality competition, MTV’s Top Pop Group starting next month. The judges will be Taboo, Michelle Williams from Destiny’s Child and choreographer Brian Friedman.

The point of the show will be to find the next great pop group. The show will premiere September 11 on MTV. There will be nine groups featured as contestants. The winners will receive $100,000 and the possibility of fame and success. Tune in September 11 to see Taboo on the show and don’t forget to vote for your favorite pop group. The winner will be ultimately chosen by voting from the viewer audience.
