Honestly I'd say that at least in their younger years on the show that they demonstrated acting skills well below those of most of todays child actors at the same age. I caught a bit of their acting on that other show they did(around age 12) and they clearly were showing some real acting talent by then. Until my recent viewing of some episodes of "Weeds" I hadn't seen any acting from either of the sisters in years, and I have to say that I've been very pleasantly surprised by the high quality of Mary Kate's performance in the series. I mean she's really good. If Ashley has developed her acting chops to the same level as her sister I predict that they'll both have a great future as adult actresses in adult roles for years to come.
