While Mary-Kate Olsen has never spoken pubicly about her political affiliations, last night several blogs spotted her and boyfriend Nate Lowman in the West Village’s Gavin Brown gallery at an art installation by Jonathan Horowitz titled “Obama ’08.”
The interactive installation featured hundred of people watching CNN and Fox in a room filled with presidential portraits, with those watching Fox sitting on a red carpet and those watching CNN sitting on a blue carpet. When Obama was finally declared the winner, Horowitz hung a portrait of Obama next to the one of George W. Bush. Art Forum has photos and a description of the event, check it out here.
It sounds like it would have been lots of fun. Last night was a monumental night in history and I feel so privileged to have watched it unfold on television.
