Hi everyone! Hope your Memorial Day was fantastic. I’m worn out from all the fun, so I may not be around for the whole episode. Thank goodness for Tivo! For today, I’m going back to the old chat in the comments open mic format. I hope you enjoy Medium episode 5.18, The Talented Ms. Boddicker.
By the way, have you seen the photos of Patricia Arquette at the CBS Upfronts? She looks fantastic!

Not my favourite episode, mish-mash of storylines. But there were some lovely moments.
Still struggle to believe Lynn is only 20 weeks pregnant, especially if Ariel is now 16 as Joe stated. I mean I know they aired “About Last Night” out of order, but Ariel was only just turning 15 and a half that episode.
I just felt that storyline should have been included in an earlier episode. I mean, wasn’t she showing enough for Devalos and Allison to notice in the episode where it was revealed. I never saw Scanlon having an abusive father coming, that was a twist. I know people don’t the actress playing Lynn very much, I would have liked to have seen Scanlon talk about his fears more.
Maybe I was just looking for them to show more of Joe settling in at his new job and I would have loved to have seen his talk with Bridgette. She’s rather impulsive, still love her! Bet she wishes her psychic radar would have told her of Joe’s presence in the kitchen! Little Marie is such a sweetie, she looks up so much Bridgette. Loved Ariel being an understanding sister, stroking Bridgette’s hair, although we never saw her immediate reaction.
I was baffled by how Devalos planned to convict the robber. I mean obviously they would prove that the gun was used in the shooting, but there would be no prints because Ms.B’s prints would be all over everything of any importance. It was nice to see her get a happy ending.
It was amusing to see Joe say to Ariel at first he’d think about giving her his keys. I mean it’s normally Allison who defers. I was chuckling at Bridgette’s grumbling over her parents public display of affection before Joe left.
This is getting a tad long. Actually, the more I think about this episode, the more I enjoyed it more than I first thought.
This was a really fun episode. The mystery was different, and not the usual murder. The bank robbery was a nice twist from the usual mystery. And it was great seeing Allyce Beasley back on television. It must have been fun for her to be working with GGC again. Loved her character this time. It actually reminded me a lot of her character on Moonlighting. I loved the scenes with her and Patricia Arquette too. they had a really great chemistry together. This wasn’t one of those WOW episodes, but it was a very solid Medium episode. And it did pretty well in the ratings too. It was the most watched on Monday night. How’s that for an aging show with no fan support or passion for it?
And I LOVE Bridgette!! How funny was it when she told Allison about wrecking the car?!!

I think what may have happened – GGC in his infinite wisdom and to torture us all with the presence of his wife – aka Lynn Di Novi – that she must have been very pregnant when they started shooting and filmed her scenes separately from Scanlon and then spliced them together to make it look like they were there together. She was waaaay too far along and gives pregnant women a bad name being so huge and puffy. Not that it would have mattered if she’d been right there with him, she would still be wooden and awful no matter what.
I kind of expected Scanlon didn’t have the best of the lot when it came to parents, but they’ve never said anything about his parents before – just his sister who was murdered before we met him and when he met Allison for the first time, she helped solve that case. I was trying to figure out if his Dad is supposed to be comatose or paralyzed, or just basically ignoring his son as he spoke to him?
Loved seeing Alyce Beasley again! Loved her so much on Moonlighting – you know she has fought breast cancer in the last few years. I was curious why Allison and Devalos let her get away with stealing the money? After all, she did actually take advantage of the situation to do that – even though in the end she gave the money back.
I kind of thought Allison and Joe gave in awfully easily to Ariel and letting her drive the kids to school by herself.
It’s so time to get rid of that Volvo! Please, now that the show is moving to CBS, let’s get Allison to take the plunge and buy a new car! Yea! So glad CBS is treating Allison and the show so much better than NBC ever did.
Did Y’all hear that NBC had one of the lowest ratings EVER last week? Nanny, nanny boo boo!
LOL! I think NBC insulted the Medium fans with their “Not a single fan letter” comment. There are huge comment lists popping up like all over the place

What has happened to this blog? I’m confused. It used to be the #1 source for all Medium news, but it hasn’t been updated for a long time now. There was another episode after this one and CBS has been airing promos for Medium. Is this site dead now? I miss being able to check this website for up-to-the-minute Medium news.
Does anyone else have any suggestions for a new Medium site?

Yes, I did stop writing for Medium Dreams as of June 1st because I felt I wasn’t able to update as frequently as I should. I still really love Medium and put the last episode open mic and recap, as well as other Medium news, on my personal site. I will update it a few times a week, but don’t quite have enough time for daily updates.
I believe SF Universe here at b5media will cover Medium news for now and hopefully they’ll have a new fan in place to blog on Medium Dreams by season 6.
