Nice roundup of reviews, Kona. It's nice to see that there are others on the net talking about the show too. I found the article at Secondhand Smoke particularly interesting, since I've been having a rather "spirited" debate with someone on the Medium board at IMDb about the episode. This person insists that the doctor is a hero for ending people's suffering (no matter that it is against their will), and that our society is wrong for considering "mercy killing" the same as murder. Needless to say, this person is one of those intractable, single-minded idiots who troll the internet just looking for something to use as a lightning rod for an argument. Not a discussion, but an argument. And yet people like that will argue until they're blue in the face, without offering one compelling statement to support their views.
But that's one of the things that I love about this show, that they are not afraid to take on tough subjects like that, and inevitably when they do, it leads to some often very enlightening, sometimes frustrating, always spirited discussions.
