Remember when Medium didn’t have a Scanlon? You don’t? Well, die hard Medium fans know he didn’t appear until Episode Three of Season One, entitled A Couple of Choices. During this episode, he is…well, a bit of a skeptic. You can tell he’s a skeptic by listening to his words for subtle clues.
For instance, in one delightful scene, he seems a bit unsure about whether he should believe Allison DuBois and Manuel Devalos. He expresses his uncertainty in a typical, laid back manner:
(points to Manny) “You’re insane.”
(points to Allison) “You’re insaner.”
I am sooo glad David Cubitt came to Medium.
Good choice,Katelyn. That episode is one of my favorite Scanlon eps. I love the scene in Devalos’ office when he and Allison are arguing. He has some of the best one-liners in that episode. I love his dry wit and deadpan delivery.
Yummy! Thanks for the pic Katelyn. I’m soooo glad the producers made that decision to bring in a Scanlon and chose David Cubitt for the role. Didn’t you just love the first scene we saw him in where he kept hanging up the phone on the office calling him? Then he finally takes the battery out! That whole scene in Scanlon’s office was hysterical!
The whole episode is awesome. I watched it twice in a row the other night.
I love those lines! That is one of my favorite episodes as well. I had not seen the first two episodes of Medium when it first aired, and I happened to flick by and catch a bit of this episode’s scene in which Scanlon and Allison were sitting outside a murder scene. I remember thinking, OMG who is that guy? lol
