Jonzing for a psychic fix? Live in Canada or otherwise have access to the W Network? Check out Rescue Mediums.

Rescue Mediums follows two acclaimed and quirky international psychics, Christine Hamlett and Jackie Dennison, as they ask ghostly visitors in homes and businesses to leave. Hauntings are more frequent than we like to admit and Christine and Jackie get the spirits to tell them their stories and show those restless souls into the light. They then research the information given by the ghost(s) to back up what has been relayed to them. But sometimes these spirits don’t want to depart this earthly plane. And that can be scary! Each week it’s a different location and a different set of spirits. The two corporeal co-hosts, Jackie and Christine, are as offbeat and charismatic as they come. Rescue Mediums is full of happy hauntings – with a frightening edge!
Although it says “each week”, the show currently airs daily at the appropriately spooky time of 2:00am. The time does jump around, though, so check out the full schedule and set you VCR/DVR accordingly. Or get your jammies on and have a late-night spook-fest. It looks like October is Rescue Mediums marathon month at the W Network. How very Halloweenie of them.
Alas, I cannot get the W Network. If you can and you watch Rescue Mediums, let me know what you think of the show and I will post about it here. Or you can write about it and I will link to your blog post or host your post here if you don’t have a blog of your own. (Although, really, it takes five seconds to set one up. Why aren’t you blogging yet? Just askin’.)

I think of the ‘physchic’ shows I’ve seen on TV, these 2 are the MOST convincing I’ve ever seen. I’m utterly convinced that what they are doing is very real, very valid.
I have an opposite opinion. Of all the ‘medium’s’ I have seen, these two seem to be the most staged. Their show seems a little too fake and corny to me. I watch it anyway for entertainmet.
I loved this show until I caught them in an absolute LIE. They claimed a house was being haunted because of an old ventriloquist’s doll owned by an 18th century Canadian politician. They blamed the whole haunting on this doll.
Only trouble was, this antique doll was the exact same model as the “Tommy Talker” dummy I had purchased as a child…in 1975!! I would know it anywhere. I e-mailed the producers to see if they could explain themselves in this obvious fraud. But oddly enough, never heard anything back.
After that I never ever watched it again. Their credibility was blown for good.
