Mel Gibsons Divorce Papers Signed

She’s filed for divorce” some people overheard Mel Gibson say after Easter Sunday mass. The day before Good Friday, Mel Gibson and wife Robyn Gibson signed the divorce papers tells People. They had been married for 28 years however been separated since August 2006 after Gibson was pulled over for a DUI. They have 7 children together, and the youngest one, Thomas who is 9 has been given joint custody. They will handle the divorce in a respectful way, the couple even attended church together for Palm Sunday just 4 days before the divorce papers were signed.

Even though their divorce will be a reasonable one, that does not mean it is going to be a cheap one. People has exclaimed that this could easily be one of the biggest divorce settlements in Hollywood history. The couple had a prenup where Robyn is entitled half of everything in their divorce.

To put that into a little perspective, Gibson’s estimated assets are more than $600 million grossed by The Passion of the Christ alone, 4100 million – plus in real estate investments, and $75 million for film and TV projects. Wow – that is going to be one hefty cheque that Gibson is going to be witting to his ‘ex’-wife.
