Okay, sure, Melinda Doolittle does look a little less polished than when she wears makeup but I challenge anyone to find someone who’s skin looks that beautiful without touch ups! WOW! It doesn’t matter, the rest of the pictured American Idol cast look pretty rough too!
Good news for you Melinda Doolittle fans! She’s set to release her debut album titled, Coming Back to You on Hi-Fi Recordings in January 09. Produced by Grammy-nominated producer Mike Mangini (Joss Stone, Run DMC, The Jonas Brothers), Coming Back to You was recorded with a team of live musicians in Nashville and New York City.
The first single, “It’s Your Love” will be released to radio in October.

Great meals take longer to prepare, talita; and dinner is almost ready! Melinda made her solo debut at the Nashville Summer Jazz And More Concert on August 31. She performed gems from Idol (Since You Been Gone, I’m a Woman, My Funny Valentine), as well as new songs from her CD (a funky version of Dust My Broom) including her new single, It’s Your Love (a soaring love ballad). The single comes this month and the full CD next month. Melinda’s music is full of the promised ‘grit’ with a dash o’ hot sauce! ;-)
Where is the CD? I think it is never coming. There has been too much time beween the promise and the product.

Melinda Album is for fall. This past week Melinda finally finished the vocals on her CD! All of that happens quickly then we will see her CD on shelves for Fall! Also, keep your eye out for her first official single that should be hitting airwaves in the coming weeks. Melinda is going to be throwing a lot of music at us in the coming months so get ready!

I think Melinda has been the best and most professional singer that has appeared on american idol. I for one want to see and hear more from her. This year they should have had her sing. I am waiting for her album. I would pay to see her in concert
