The stars of Melrose Place — along with some of its original cast and future guest stars made an appearance at the Melrose Place Launch Party on Aug. 22 in Los Angeles.
The new Melrose Place will make its debut on television on Tuesday, September 8 following the season 2 premiere of 90210.

Pictured above are Melrose Place reboot stars, from left, Katie Cassidy (Ella), Laura Leighton (the original Sydney), Ashlee Simpson Wentz (Violet), Stephanie Jacobsen (Lauren) and Jessica Lucas (Riley). I think Jessica Lucas really “brings it” in this photo.
But before I share more photos of the Melrose Place’s regular cast, let me show you some of the original Melrose Place stars who showed up for the launch party!

Josie Bissett (Secret Life of the American Teenager’s Kathleen Bowman) was one of the original cast members who made an appearance at the launch show, and appears to be having a blast! Bissett has agreed to guest star on the Melrose Place remake in future episodes, reprising her role as Jane Andrews Mancini (wife of Michael Mancini, played by Thomas Calabro).

Daphne Zuniga (One Tree Hill) also has agreed to reprise her role as photographer Jo Reynolds as a guest star on a future episode of Melrose Place. Zuniga is pictured above (left) with Laura Leighton. I love Zuniga’s dress!
Now, back to Melrose Place’s regular cast.

Pictured above are two of Melrose Place’s residents — Violet, played by Ashlee Simpson Wentz, and Ella, played by Katie Cassidy. Now, Violet and Ella are two completely different creatures — or it seems in the beginning at least. Violet is the newest tenant and seems very innocent and demure. Ella is the furthest thing from demure and innocent. You’ve got to watch this girl in the pilot episode to see what I mean. She’s a PR girl who believes she has what it takes to get any star to the top. She’s also quite bitchy and I wouldn’t get in her way.

Michael Rady stars as Jonah, a resident at Melrose Place who lives with girlfriend Riley (Jessica Lucas). He’s a filmmaker on the rise.

Pictured above is Jessica Lucas, who plays Riley, Jonah’s girlfriend on Melrose Place. Riley is a teacher.

Above is another photo of Jessica Lucas in her sexy black leather dress.

Pictured above is Stephanie Jacobsen who will play Lauren, one of Melrose Place’s residents. Lauren is trying to finish her medical school but is having financial problems and will have to come up with a “plan” to make some big money if she wants to be a doctor. See below how guest star Kelly Carlson will help her with that plan.

Shaun Sipos, pictured above, plays David — the son of Michael Mancini (Thomas Calabro) who also lives at Melrose Place. He has a connection to Sydney that won’t thrill his father.

Colin Egglesfield (above) plays Auggie, a tenant at Melrose Place. Thanks to Sydney he’s now a sous chef and a recover alcoholic. Oh, and he rides a motorcycle. This picture really doesn’t do him justice either.

And of course, pictured above is Thomas Calabro, who plays Dr. Michael Mancini, father of David. He was an original Melrose Place cast member and has a past with Sydney. Isn’t his tie cute? I doubt his character will wear a tie like that on the show though.
Besides the Melrose Place cast and the original MP stars who plan to be guest stars — a couple of upcoming guest stars also made an appearance at the launch party.

Pictured above is Jenna Dewan who will guest star as Kendra Wilson, a movie executive who has her eyes on Jonah (Michael Rady). So far she’s set to appear in two episodes.

And Melrose Place has even cast a high-powered Hollywood madame named Wendi (Kelly Carlson), who will cross paths with Stephanie Jacobsen’s character Lauren, a med-student turned high-class hooker.
