The wait is finally over. General Hospital has finally confirmed a recast for Michael Corinthos, son of Mob Boss Sonny and Carly. Dylan Cash, the original actor who played Michael Corinthos from year 2002 until December of 2008 was let go to make room for an “older” Michael. The character was put in a coma after being shot by a ricocheted bullet meant for Sonny to prepare audiences for this move. A lot of names were speculated for the Soras’d version of Carly’s first born son. A soap newcomer won the role.
And his name is, Drew Garrett. He will start as Michael Corinthos on April 24, Friday. He won’t be saying any lines in the first few weeks since he’s in a coma after all. I’m glad the actor has blond hair. It matches Carly’s. He can’t have dark hair or complexion like Sonny because he is actually the adopted father. AJ Quartermaine who’s been “dead” for years is his real father.

He can pass for a older Michael in my book. He kind of can pass for a older version of Dylan Cash. I hope he’s a good actor.
If only they could cast somebody to play Dantae! I’m tired of waiting.

I like the new Michael, Corinthos, the recast is very handsome, the actor, Drew Garrett is doing a great job, he does look a bit like Steve Burton,[a younger version]of Jason. I just don’t like one thing about the part Of the recast Michael blames his mom,Carly for what happened to him, I say blame Claudia and hate her not Carly.
I don’t understand why all of a sudden they need to have an “OLDER” Michael; I like the old Michael much better than the new one. This new Michael makes me want to smack him in the mouth when he’s so hateful to Carly, or bend him over my knee and give him the butt whipping he deserves. I think trying to suddenly age Michael is retarded; nobody ages overnight like that; coma or no coma!
