Michael Lohan is reportedly furious that Lindsay Lohan seems to have in-out privledges at her Utah rehab, Cirque Lodge, after so soon:
But it is believed the actress has been released after photographs of her with friends surfaced in the media – and her father Michael is furious.
He tells Extra, "Does Betty Ford let its people out? Absolutely not! I’m upset about this. They should never let any patient out."
What do you think? Should Lindsay Lohan be allowed out of rehab? If so, what would be the appropriate guidelines?
I don’t know much about rehab, but I do understand that part of the process is transitioning – learning to live in the real world with recovery. Rehab is like a safe bubble, and effective recovery requires that the patient learn to cope with the real world.

The Whole thing is, She’s not gonna Be Cooped Up in this Joint during the Duration of Rehab, She’s gotta have some time going out enjoying scenery cos it helps her to focus and take mind off things plus it Makes her Stronger!
And….Speaking of Her leaving Rehab on these day trips, I think it would be a really GOOD Idea, for her to be in court at the first Hearing, Plea Entry etc. as it shows Courage, it shows Respect for the Court, the Judicial system in general, and Makes her Detractors look that much more the fool.It is an ” I take Responsibility for MY actions ” move, that can only gain the respect of the Court, the Judge, etc. LOTS of Hollywood Stars, have their lawyers show up for them, which has always displeased the court, as it shows a lack of respect, the I am too BIG to bother with this mentality, She should avoid any appearence of this as the Charges are so serious. In spite of the fact that they cannot be substantiated, or backed up with any admissable real evidence. Of course that is just My opinion, and it is possible that Blair, Lindsay’s layer has a different ” Take ” on it.

uh-oh — I hope this doesn’t mean more trouble for Lindsay (damn those paparazzi!) — I just saw this post on Linds-Lo –
After paparazzi from the X17 web site showed up at Lindsay’s rehab in Utah, it is rumored that several of the Cirque Lodge residents and their families are threatening to sue Cirque Lodge and X17 for revealing the identities of several residents currently in treatment there.
According to a statement from the Cirque Lodge website:
“Cirque Lodge Provides the Ultimate in Privacy for Alcohol Rehabilitation and Drug Rehab … Entrance to the Studio is through a controlled access gate, and the entrance is staffed at all times by Cirque Lodge personnel. Once admitted, each resident’s privacy is closely guarded. Only persons permitted by the resident will have access to any information about the resident. We offer the ultimate in privacy for those suffering from addictions … “.
Numerous pictures of Cirque Lodge residents in Lindsay’s company have been posted on the X17 website.
I think those rehab-folks know what they’re doing.
If it benefits the healing to give “homepasses” (I believe they’re called?-thanks me)who are we to meddle with their healing program?
Get better Lindsay and good luck on your trial.

Damn! Michael Lohan making noises like a concerned parent…hey Mike, where were u like 18 years ago when you could have made a difference?
OK, that said, he’s right. It’s WAY too early for the girl to be let out ‘cept on bike outings like we’ve seen pictured here.
As for those who suggest that she needs “out time”…how do you think she got into so much trouble to begin with?
This girl needs SERIOUS help…she’s going to end up taking a “dirt nap” alongside River Phoenix and John Belushi unless she gets help…and unfortunetely that help will NOT come from her so-called “friends” and “parents”.

You’re right, Lindsay’s Friend. photogs suck. I think they’re half the reason why celebrities get big heads in the first place!
And I have no idea what Michael Lohan is trying to do. He’s a complete media whore, letting anyone and everyone interview him. I think it’s pathetic that he would wait until Lindsay’s in a retreat (without a chance to defend herself) before actually making his accusations towards her and her family. I hope he realises one day that nobody gives a damn about what he thinks. I mean, it’s obvious that the media is just using him to get more info on Lindsay. But come to think of it, I’m sick of Dina too. Both of them are just complete idiots. Bleerrggghh.
I think going out once in a while is ok as long as it’s sponsored by the Cirque program — but I agree with chrissy — the less exposure to the photogs the better. Of course they’re out there like dogs in heat just waiting to get any shot they can — I can almost hear that one x17 guy’s voice — “hey Leensy”, “hi Leensy” — yech!
So — if she only comes out once a week that means they’ll have to sit on their butts for 6 days waiting — so hah! for them! I just hope Cirque can fend off the infiltrators (infil-TRAITORS?) and high-powered lenses.
Lindsay — STAY HIDDEN! — they do NOT deserve any more free rides from you. And get well– COMPLETELY WELL this time!

If I’m not mistaken, part of Cirque Lodge’s program includes hiking, bike rides, just general exercises I guess. People act like she left rehab to go clubbing or something, jeez.
the rehab i went to we were allowed out in town (it was in a very small town with mostly amish people living in it) to go to the store and for exercise. there were certain restraints regarding the amount of time we could be gone and people under 21 were not allowed out without someone over 21. i think its fine that she’s going out and exercising…not so sure about the tanning though!

i think don’t think it hurts for lindsay to be out and about doing healthy, normal activities. all in small doses though. she should really take this time to get a sense of life outside of LA and realize that maybe she shouldn’t return to that enviroment for a long time.
Whoever’s letting Michael Lohan out of his cage should have their paycheck docked. :P
when i went to rehab we had “home passes”for 8 hours to 2 days, depending on our time in rehab. During the home pass, we could do anything we wanted to out of rehab grounds, but when we came back we were drug tested and searched.
