Michael, who most of you know of as MWA, also was at the Paley Center for Patricia Arquette’s talk about her directorial debut. He was gracious enough to share his experience and some photos of the event:
“I snapped a quick picture of Patricia on the red carpet before I was told no photos. I ran outside and handed the camera to Chris, my partner. I helped others take photos with Patricia, went up to her and got a photo with her, then stepped back to observe the calamity. Luckily, it was cool as people met and posed with Patricia. She posed, talked, shook hands, and hugged so many people. She made sure everyone got to see her.
I ran behind her to speak with her manager Molly (a peach!) and her assistant, who were flabbergasted I had come from Maine. She pulled Patricia around and introduced me, and I told Patricia we had met before at Paley in LA 3 years ago. She signed for me, and wrote, “Michael, Stay Sweet! Patricia Arquette”, and asked me what we were doing in the city and told me to have a great time. I told her we were off for Indian, running around, and told her to do the same.
What a sweetheart!!”
Look for more photos after the jump:
Boy, these photos aren’t even retouched and she still looks gorgeous. Thanks for sharing them with us, Michael. It looks the event was a whole lot of fun.

Katelyn,
Thank you for letting me share this experience with everyone.
I sent you the scanned pic of what Patricia signed for me. =)
It was truly an exceptional and exciting event to attend, and Patricia really took the time to meet everyone and really listened to what fans had to say.
I think the security guards wanted to rush her out, but she made sure to stop and see everyone.
She is great.
It was also wonderful to speak with Molly, who has been her manager for over 20 years now.
The atmosphere outside was fun: positive energy and everyone helping everyone to get pictures if they were alone, etc. Patricia posed with anyone who asked. You certainly do not see that every day.
If anyone has any questions, please ask!
You are right, the photos are not retouched!
MWA thanks so much for sharing those with us and telling us about your experience! Patricia looks gorgeous!
People always rag on her on certain sites about her weight, but I hear she looks tiny in person. Personally, I think the wardrobe people on Medium need a few lessons from Stacy and Clinton on TLC’s What Not To Wear about dressing Patricia in styles that flatter her figure. Sometimes it’s not how much someone weighs but the shape and fit of their clothes that make them look bigger than they are.
You are very welcome Betty!
There were many Patricia fans there that night, I wonder if any of them check out this site?
Anyway, you are right: Patricia is gorgeous (inside and out), and mags rag on her clothes and shape. They have no clue. She is a class act and is a beauty. They have nothing bad to say about her because she is a talented actress and award winner, so they have to create negativity. Too bad for them.
I do know what you mean about the warddrobe on ‘Medium’ at times Betty.
‘What not to Wear’ is a hoot!
FYI. The discussion at the Paley center w/ Patricia Arquette is available to watch on HULU.
