Last night, we saw the live final weigh-in for the Biggest Loser: Families. I was thrilled that the winner was Michelle Aguilar because she had been one of my favorites all season. My other big favorite was Coleen Skeabeck, but she had been eliminated several weeks before.
America got to chose the third person to compete in the final weigh-in and even though both Heba Salama & her husband Ed Brantley asked that America choose Heba, they overwhelmingly shose Ed instead. I think it’s because Heba wasn’t one of the people that came across as being all that likable during the season, while her husband Ed came across as totally likable. It could be the editing, or not…who knows?
When everyone had weighed in, Michelle became the second woman in the history of the show to become the winner. She won $250,000 because she lost 110 lbs. and 45.45% of her body weight. WOW! She started the show at 242 lbs. and ended weighing just 132 lbs.

But Heba was not to be stopped by a little thing like America’s vote. She went on to win this season’s $100,000 “at home” prize among eliminated contestants. She lost 138 lbs. and 46.94% of her body weight. Heba started the show as the heaviest female contestant at 294 lbs. and weighed 156 lbs. at finale.
All I can say is Congratulations to both of them. You have both become real inspirations for those of us who should be getting healthier too!!
But the series is coming back in only a couple of weeks. The new season, The Biggest Loser: Couples will premiere Tuesday, January 6 (8-10 p.m. ET) on NBC.
Conratulations Michelle!!!! I was rooting for you and your mama the entire show! Even thought Heba looked fantastic I was extatic that you won! It pays to be the nice person and not the back stabbers! Continue your success and have keep your wonderful relationship with your mom which by the way looks amazing also!!
I was so happy to see her win. She has a beautiful face and a great personality. It’s nice to see a show that is not only entertaining but also really works for the good of all those involved.
