Miley Cyrus has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award! On Thursday morning she woke up to the news that she received the nom for her son I Thought I Lost You, a duet that she performed with John Travolta, and co-wrote with Jeffrey Steele, for the animated movie Bolt.
Miley celebrated with her friends on the Hannah Montana set and was given flowers by the show’s producers. She says that she’s so stoked and never expected to be nominated. “I can’t believe I’m on the same list as Clint Eastwood, Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen and everyone else.”
She isn’t sure what she’s going to wear to the event, but “I think it’s going to be long,” Miley said. And as for a date? Miley isn’t sure but it seems that she’s not keen on bringing Justin Gaston! Instead Miley said that she wished she could have two dates. “I would love John Travolta to be my date, because this is our movie, and Jeffrey [Steele], because he wrote the song with me and he’s such a good friend.”
Bolt is also nominated for Best Animated Feature, running against WALL-E and Kung Fu Panda.
The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards will be on January 11th, 8pm ET, on NBC. Listen to I Thought I Lost You at Pop Music Scene!
