Miley Cyrus has had a hugely successful career starring in Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana and singing in front of thousands at sold out concerts. Her pop style of music has treated her well but the 17 year old is ready for a change.
Miley was on GMTV the other morning and she talked about what she’s working on right now and how The Time of Our Lives will be her last pop album.
She said, “I want this to be my last pop record. I’m working on a record right now, I want this to be my last record for a little while, to be able to take a break and just get all the type[s] of music I really love, my favorite styles and be able to have something edgier.”
Is Miley worried about the change in her sound and what fans will say. Nah.
“And not have to worry about people saying, ‘this isn’t want her fans want to listen to yadda yadda’, because at the end of the day in a few years as I grow up so will my fans and I won’t have to maybe focus on that so much, and [make records that are] more the style I’m into.”
Speaking or rocking out, Miley’s mom Tish Cyrus revealed that her daughter is going to remake Poison’s “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”.
She said, "’Every Rose’ is one of her all-time favorite songs and she is really excited about cutting it”.
Well that’s exciting news for Miley. I LOVE that song and am looking forward to hearing her do it. What do you think about Miley Cyrus changing her sound?
