AOL’s JSYK.com ran a poll for viewers to vote on the Worst Celebrity Influence of 2009 and somehow Miley Cryus came in first place above Britney Spears and Kanye “I’ma let you finish” West.
Stephanie Cohen, editor of JSYK.com, said “I think Miley is in an interesting space where she is trying to graduate from being ‘Hannah Montana’ and a Disney channel celebrity and coming into her own and having a career beyond Disney. I think her fans still want her to be the sweet Hannah Montana and she is trying to age up…Parents are definitely resisting it.”
Miley also came in No. 4 for favorite female artist, behind Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.
What do you think about the results of the poll?
Maybe Miley hasn’t made the best decisions all the time, but she is trying grow up in front of the world. Being 16 isn’t easy anyway, but having to be 16 in front of everyone can be tough. And like Stephanie Cohen said, Miley is trying to age up and graduate from Hannah Montana. That’s tough.

I think it not fair. she isn’t the worst influence of 09. She is the only one how tells the people the truth about show business and she never trys to hide her mistakes, that is what I call honesty. and many people can’t stand it.
She just don’t want the whole world to know her private business and that is traceable, becouse thay would rip her apart even more.
This boggles my mind. Little girls like my two daughters could do a lot worse by being enthralled with watching train wrecks like Lindsay, or girls like Paris and Brittney.
Plain and simple, there’s a group out there (for whatever reason) that desperately want this girl to fail.
i totally agree with waschal..like us Miley is also human and what more only 17[a year older than me],she like us are also learning new things every day..i think people especially parents since they are older, should understand that everyone makes mistakes even Celebrities and no one is perfect..as long as she knows what she’s doing and learn from the mistakes i think she dont even deserve the worst influence at all..

well its true shes like us but she just doesent get that there are younger kids watching her like how she did those naked photos and she was dancing on the pole and also when she was filming her video party in the U.S.A she was doing dirty moves ps..JONAS BROTHERS ROCKK!!!
