Last week I posted a photo and a video of Milo Ventimiglia in his tour of the US troops stationed in Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan. Now there are more!
Milo Ventimiglia was a special guest of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen at the 66th annual USO tour of the Persian Gulf. Milo’s birthday fell during the tour but Milo said he didn’t want anyone to know of it because wanted the focus to be on the visit of saluting the troops. Well, surprise surprise! After a long day touring bases, signing autographs and posing for pictures, the “Heroes” actor was given a surprise birthday party by the troops. It must have been a moving experience for Milo, who in the Persian Gulf for the first time, as he was quoted, “on my birthday, there’s no place else that I would rather be.”
Flashing a big grin for the camera is 20-year old PFC Cory Obitts (C) who posed for a photo with Milo during a meet and greet.
Milo sat between Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders’ Christina Parker and Deryn Derbigny for the long flights in between USO tour stops.
The other guests of the tour included NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, quarterback Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints, defensive end Osi Umenyiora of the Super Bowl champion New York Giants, and software engineer/former head football coach of Marshall University Jack Lengyel.
