Blond bombshell Miranda Lambert raised over $125,000 for the Humane Society during their “Cause for the Paws” event in Texas last month.

Miranda, a longtime animal lover and Texas native, performed at the event with boyfriend and fellow country music star Blake Shelton, as well as Kasey Musgraves and Adam Hood.
Of the event, Miranda said:
“I can’t express how much this year’s ‘Cause For the Paws’ event touched me. The giving spirit of those who were at the event this year was truly inspiring. It means the world to me and to the animals of East Texas. I am excited to see the improvements that we will make at the shelter. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I cannot wait to see everyone next year.”
Miranda has been actively helping abused, neglected and abandoned animals for quite a while through the Pawsabilites program, which encompasses several animal-related charity events.
Miranda is scheduled to tour with Kenny Chesney this summer during his Sun City Carnival tour, and she’s also working on a new album, due out in September.
