As expected, Mischa Barton pleaded "no contest" yesterday to the misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence. Mischa Barton will not face any jail time subsequent to her December arrest.
Mischa Barton did not make a personal appearance in court. Her attorney, Anthony Salerno, entered the plea on her behalf:
"She realized that she made a youthful mistake," Salerno told E! News. "She is pleased with this outcome. She understands the gravity of this but is glad that this is resolved."
The marijuana possession charge was dropped and the misdemeanor for driving without a valid license was dropped to an infraction. Mischa was sentenced to 3 years’ unsupervised probation, to 3 months of alcohol education classes (before Sept. 17) and to pay a $1652 fine, and additional fees of $312.
