Mischa Barton’s movie Assassination of High School President is headed to DVD and will be released in October.
While the fact that the movie is going to DVD isn’t really “new” news, the date of the release is – Oct. 13, according to Walmart.com You can pre-order the movie for $17.86 (actual list price is $24.06).
Even though the movie got good reviews at the Sundance Film Festival in 2008, Assassination of a High School President is going to DVD because the film distributor Yari Films was forced into bankruptcy late last year.
The movie stars Reese Daniel Thompson, Mischa Barton and Bruce Willis in the tale of a Catholic high school newspaper reporter who stumbles upon a conspiracy. Prompted by the most popular girl in school (Mischa) to investigate the theft of SAT exams, the young reporter discovers the mystery is larger than he thinks.
