Mischa Barton is moving to NYC in order to film scenes for her new show The Beautiful Life, which will make its debut on The CW this fall.
The Beautiful Life, which follows a group of models living in a coed residence in New York and shows the behind-the-scenes world of the cutthroat fashion world, includes Mischa’s character Sonya, a model who has been out of the limelight for the last several months and is trying to make a comeback.
According to Mischa’s official website, production will get under way in mid-July.
"I’ve been traveling so extensively that I barely had time to react to my pilot getting picked up for a fall launch. I’m so excited that even being in a foreign place like Moscow right now couldn’t stifle my enthusiasm. Russia was awesome and so too will it be to relocate to NYC and begin a regimented schedule for The Beautiful Life, Mischa wrote on her website. "…I couldn’t be more thrilled to call the likes of Ashton Kutcher boss, not to mention being affiliated with the CW. Think America’s Next Top Model will be the perfect lead-in."
The Beautiful Life will air at 8 p.m. CST on Wednesdays following America’s Next Top Model at 7 p.m. CST on Mondays in the fall on The CW.
