Mischa Barton's Closing the Ring DVD to be released

Mischa Barton’s movie Closing the Ring will be released on DVD in the USA, Canada and Portugal on Tuesday, January 27.

Closing the Ring, an epic romance from British moviemaker Richard Attenborough, was released in the UK in December 2007 and features two big names including Shirley MacLaine, and Christopher Plummer, as well as Mischa, Neve Campbell, Stephen Amell, Brenda Fricker, Pete Postlethwaite, among others.

In December, Mischa nabbed Mr. Skin’s No. 1 spot on Top 20 Nude Scenes of 2008 for her role in the movie.

In Closing the Ring, Mischa portrays young Ethel Ann, who falls in love with a young farmer Teddy Gordon (Amell) — hence, the love scenes — who goes off to war with his best friends Jack and Chuck, but doesn’t make it. The movie also stars MacLaine as the older Ethel Ann and Plummer as the older Jack. When a young man in Belfast finds a ring in the wreckage of the crashed B-17 50 years later, he is determined to track down the history of the ring. Neve Campbell (Marie) plays the daughter who learns about her mother’s past and the true story of her love life.
