Mischa Barton has always been a big supporter of Save the Children, an international organization dedicated to helping children in poverty and children in need.
Barton, who serves as a Save the Children ambassador, visited South Africa in early 2008, and also did some work for Save the Children while in India filming the yet-to-be-released movie Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain earlier this year.
In this Save the Children video filmed while she was in India (wearing a special headband suited for the region, as you can tell!), Mischa talked about the plight of the children in India, especially the young girls who are forced into marriage at the age of 12 and many not given the opportunity to continue their education.
