Mischa Barton’s thriller Walled In is going straight to DVD.
Fangoria Online announced the DVD release date as February 24, 2009.
I checked on the Walled In IMDB Pro page, and yes, it’s true — the movie will be available in the United States and Canada on DVD on that date.
As an independent film it’s not surprising in today’s economy that it’s going to DVD, though upsetting to Mischa fans who were looking forward to watching the movie on the big screen.
In Walled In, Mischa plays Sam Walczak, a recent engineering graduate who travels to a remote location to supervise the demolition of a mysterious building, discovering horrifying secrets about the building and its past inhabitants, who were entombed within its walls by a murderer. The movie is based on Serge Broselot’s bestselling French novel "Les Emmeures."
