Missy Higgins is getting political, throwing her weight behind the Save the Kimberley campaign.
The Aussie singer-songwriter has recorded four cover songs for an EP which will raise funds in opposition to the West Australian government’s proposed gas plant in the Kimberley region.
You can get your hands on a copy of the charity release through iTunes from March 31.

Good on you Missy Higgins! Hey you all – try & visit Broome and Beyond – home of Pigram Brothers, Kerrianne Cox and many brilliant artists. This utterly despicable plan to vandalise an unbelievably beautiful place and ancient homelands of local people is beyond contempt – a sure sign that the big-end-of-town has learned nothing from the global crisis it has already caused. Like steak knives, these greedy vandals have more havoc in store for people and planet. Lets stop them with all our heart & soul. Jamie
Thanks for your comments Jamie. We’ve got such a beautiful country here … I completely believe it’s our job to protect it any way we can
