More Clay Aiken Drama

Okay, so we’ve all been hearing about the whole Clay Aiken drama from a recent flight that ended having the FBI involved. Some of you have written to me and told me that Clay was actually sleeping during the whole ordeal and awoke to a female passenger slapping at him.

I have no idea what the truth is, nor do I particularly believe any one theory but I do want to mention everything I hear. So, this is the latest:

Entertaining, albeit snarky blogger, Perez Hilton, claims to have received an email from a passenger. Read about it after the jump!

clay aiken flight

cllayy222

Here’s the email:

I work for the airline he was on. Attached is a picture a fellow staffer took. I wish to remain anonymous but I had to send you the real story. We got a call from the Captain who said the Clay was being “bothered” by a fan. This was while the flight was still in the air. When the flight landed, the FBI was called because the flight attendant had said that Mr. Aiken was belligerent. All passengers were questioned. We heard nothing of a passenger who assaulted Mr., Aiken. In fact, it was Mr. Aiken and his ego that had the crew concerned and the Captain wanted the police at the gate on arrival into Tulsa. The woman in the picture is the supposed fan who bothered Mr. Aiken. Doesn’t look like she could hurt a fly.

Sorry for the poor picture quality. It was taken with a cell phone. I will send you another picture in a second e-mail of Mr. Aiken filling out paperwork in the jetway. No one else was asked to fill out any paperwork.

This is all pretty interesting. I don’t know what to think or believe but I’m interested in hearing your thoughts. Comment away!

My only doubt about the pictures and the above report allegedly sent in to Perez Hilton is why in the world would anyone send any solid, factual information to a crapsite gossip site like his and not, for instance, to the airline or the FBI or even a credit and reputable news outlet. Honestly, his web site is just a gross, erroneous-reporting, sink hole. Have you ever been there? He draws disgusting graphics on everyone’s pictures.

  2. Faith

Wow Perez is the bastion of truth in the Media LOL

Actually the woman who assaulted Aiken was African-American.

  3. gerriG

What is this world coming to??People are calling this site a sink hole..What do you call Fox Tv??the station that gives god a good name..This is a site where people like us get a chance to speak our minds, and you insult people or the host..shame on you

  4. gerriG

Faith, what has race got to do with it??will it be any truer if who ever bothered Clay is black. Will that do it for you.

  5. Anonymous

gerriG, shame on you. If you would read the above post more carefully, you will see that I was calling Perez Hilton’s site a sink hole and not this one.

  6. Kim

gerriG – Race doesn’t have anything to do with it other than the fact that the cell phone photo claims to show the woman who attacked Aiken . That can’t be true because she was African American . Big surprise . Another made up story by perez . At least he’s not picking on Kelly today .

  7. A’kyra

Actually I am surprised that it went to PH instead of TMZ…or anyone else really. FOX isn’t very credible now-a-days either, they tend to FOX-ize everything. As for the actual “assault”, who knows at this point what really happened. As for the whole color issue, why does that even matter…I have to agree with Gerri though…why do people always have to bring up race? Why does it matter what the race is of the woman who “allegedly” assaulted him? Faith when you bring up stuff like that in a situation like this where it doesn’t matter, it seems as if you are trying to start something by saying African-Americans are hostile and if Clay got assaulted it had to be an African-American….a statement like that is unfair, unless you have proof! In this case, it does not even matter and to pull the race card is just low. It’s funny how contradictive the biggest “christians” always are the first to judge and criticize African-Americans and other races that are not their own….it’s 2007 people….get over it!

  8. Faith

I’m not trying to start anything. I was just pointing out that the woman pictured was not the women that assaulted Clay.

There was no race card, except the one that you are trying to play.

  9. joshy79

Can there please be one day where there is not a fight, the host has enough to deal with. so just stop fighting, you guys are being imatrure, even though Gerri G had a point, STOP FIGHTING

  10. joshy79

Oh and A’kya had a good point to.

  11. A’kyra

I don’t have to play a race card hon’ I live in Miami, here there is every race you can think of and it’s absolutely beauiful…here we are all just people…
And for the record, I can not find anything, anywhere that says the lady was in fact African – American…if there is proof I can humbly apologize for interpreting your comment wrong…but in a situation as such, when a person with a brown skin complexion seems upset when someone else seems to be talking down about people of color, that person can’t be pulling the race card but defending it.
I have to agree with Joshy79 that this is silly and I will end it here. I do want to apologize to Jeanne for engaging in this conversation…it just burns me up how people always want to add color to everything. Not one article mentioned race, just respectfully said a woman, and here she come with it was an African-American…..enough said!
Sorry Jeanne and Faith, as I said earlier, I would humbly apologize if you can show proof of your accusation….if not it’s all good.
My apologies if I ruffled anyone’s feathers…Gerri- I’m with you. Kim-your are right, I’m surprised nothing was mentioned about Kelly, although on another site they do jokingly asked if it was Kelly.
Jeanne, You the best mama! Keep up the good work.

I happen to have a friend that was on the flight and got the low down from her.

Clay was sleeping and his leg was crossed. Apparently his foot (with a shoe on) touched her arm rest. At first the lady hit his foot to try to wake him up. He didn’t wake up. She then started yelling and cussing at him and hit his leg 3-4 times with her open hand.

Now most people would have just asked the Flight Attendant to wake him up and ask him to move his foot.

This was a small Commuter Flight with no First Class. There was not a lot of leg room.

I’m sorry if you misintrepeted my statement. I was just using it to illustrate that the lady in the pictures was not the one involved. I never said or meant anything negative about her race. Hell my daughter-in-law is African-American and I love her to pieces.

  13. Faith

    Forgot this

She was sitting in the seat in front of him.

  14. A’kyra

LoL…Yes, now your friends story sounds a lot better and more accurate than PH. Most of the other sites I read this story on say the same thing you just said. I have to agree that the extent that the woman took was ridiculous. I think protocol would be to call a flight attendant over. But at the same time, I think it is rude to put your foot on someone’s armrest without asking if it is ok. In any case, she took it too far. There are mixed reviews if this woman was taken into custody. Do you know anything about that part?
Again I apologize for taking your comment out of sorts. I’m sure you didn’t mean it like it was interpreted. At the same time I hope you did not read my comments in an angry tone b/c I was/am far from angry, just trying to make a point. But all that’s hog wash now :)
Oh and for the record, I’m sure you’re sincere but if ever in the future you have a more serious run in with someone regarding race issues, don’t ever mention a family member or a friend who is of color. It sounds a little “typical” but I know you were just trying to make a point, and I’m actually ok with that but some people take a statement like that one to a whole other level, which is ridiculous to me.
Anyway, glad we got that cleared up. Have a great day :)

Oh, how I love Monday morning drama. No problems from me.

Anonymous – I understood that you were talking about Perez Hilton’s site. Thanks for clarifying anyway.

Why wasn’t I surprised to find A’kyra, GerriG and Joshy in this mix? LOL. I loved it.

Faith – no worries. I got what you were saying when you mentioned the woman’s race because it didn’t match the pictures. This is why I post this stuff- I know someone out there is going to mention something intelligent.

  16. Faith

All I know is after the incident she was taken away by the FBI. I don’t know what happened to her after that. I would bet that Clay refused to press charges.

I do agree that putting your feet on someone’s armrest is rude…however…Clay was sleeping and I am sure was totally unaware of where his foot was. He is a fairly tall guy. (6′1″), so I imagine it was kind of cramped. At least when he resumes his Tour it will be on a Tour Bus. I bet he tells his assistant not to book him on any flight that doesn’t have a First Class Section in the future. (More Leg Room)

I, too, live in a large multi-cultural city and am used to diversity.

  17. A’kyra

LOL….I would have loved to see the look on his face when he woke up to woman slapping him around!!!! LOL…Hey did any of you see the video when he was on stage that day after the incident and he spoke about it??? LOL…too funny…he was like I got beat up this morning etc….too funny!

LOL, Jeanne you know we had to spice it up a little after a long weekend! LOL…but it’s all good, I think we are all on the same page now :)
Faith we are cool now right?? My apologies again ;)
Where is Lauren???? I’m surprised that she didn’t show up and just laugh at us!!! Hahaha
Anyway speaking of where people are from…where is everyone here from??
Obviously I am in Miami :)
Jeanne I know where you guys are but everyone else????
Faith you said you live in a multi-cultural city…is that here in the States??

  18. Faith

    A’kyra, we’re cool.

I live in Phoenix, which is obviously extremely multi-cultural.

  19. A’kyra

Wow Pheonix! Didn’t you guys get hit with a major heat wave last week?
Stay cool…Jeanne you guys stay cool too I heard even you guys got some extreme heat!

  20. gerriG

Anonymous & Faith, please forgive me. I am trully sorry for this mis-understanding..

  21. lynn

Now I know why he/she wants to remain anonymous. This person obviously has an agenda. Doesn’t it seem like Clay Aiken is attacked on a daily basis by the media? I refuse to believe any more of this trash. Since when did rumors take the place of truth? What ever happened to journalism?
