Now that you’ve heard the news about Avril’s clothing line debuting exclusively at Kohl’s this summer, have you wondering where the name Abbey Dawn came from? Well, it’s her childhood nickname. (Does anyone know the story behind that nickname? Definitely let us know if you do!)
Additionally, the clothing line will include skulls with checks and strikes as well as “a lot of hot pinks and blacks and stars and purple and zebra.” A representative for Kohl’s described Abbey Dawn as “a rock collection with a feminine edge. I think it will broaden who we bring into our junior department.” Avril promises that she will wear these clothes including on stage during her Best Damn Tour.

Well, sorry for writing soo late cause I had already read your question but wasn’t able to answer in that moment.
I don’t remember where, but I read once a question made to Avril asking if she has/had a nickname, and she answered that her father called her Abbey Dawn and she said something like “I don’t know what it is, I think it is a place” and it seems to be a place.
I knew Avril was going to use Abbey Dawn to name somethign important related to her and HERE IT IS.

I have no idea about the release date, I think it would be in July. You should check her latest performances of The Best Damn Tour, because she has been wearing her designs for Abbey Dawn. It is for teens.

ok well i actully know the anwser ok abby dawn is a street name that avril lived on growing up ( in kingston ) her dad started calling her that and all her friends wanted to , too avril was sp used to that nme she made a clothing line named after it

abbby dawn why she named it that was because of her childhood her dad called her that the reson her dad called her that was because he saw it on a street and becasue she grow up on the streets and people at school called her abby that was her nick name!!! avril rocks
Just wanted to let you know that I am dissapointed with her clothing line. I bought 2 jackets for my daughter for Christmas. After paying $160.00 for 2 when I washed them the stitching fell apart, now neither is wearable. you waould think for the price they would be made better
